This post is all about earth hour! So far 4 countries have already turned off their lights and the UK + US will be turning them off tonight. Over 201,000 people have supported earth hour on stardoll but I expect most of them just wanted the free purse. I will deffo be turning off my bedroom light, earth hour helps the planet but also a lot of other things such as electricity bills! So many people can save money by participating. Here are some of stardolls ideas for saving the planet:

- Reduce the amount of meat you eat, even by one meal a week! Intensive factory farming is not only cruel to animals, but is a major cause of global warming!

- Why drive when you can walk?! Bike or walk instead of asking for a ride in a car.
- ✓
- Plant a tree.
- ✓
- Buy local foods and products and reduce the need for fuel to ship the produce.
- ✓
- Wait until you have a lot of clothes to wash before using the washing machine. Don't use the machine for one item just because it's your favorite shirt.

- Turn off the lights when you leave a room. Use energy saving bulbs in your room.
- ✓
- Dress warmly inside your house when it’s cold, instead of turning up the heat.
- ✓
- Spread the word! Share energy-saving advice with friends and family.
